The English duo Wet Leg has announced a set of North American tour dates, only weeks after announcing the release of their sophomore album.
In May, the quartet will formally begin their tour in the United Kingdom, followed by a summer tour of European festivals. The band will return to North America in September, starting an 18-date tour in Seattle on September 1 and ending in Los Angeles on October 17.
Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, who formed the Isle of Wight duet, will be touring in support of their second album, Moisturizer, which Domino Records will release on July 11. Before releasing their first new single since 2022, “Catch These Fists,” on April 1, the duo plotted a few U.S. dates in March, adding to rumors of a new era.
In a press release, Chambers described the band’s creative process for Moisturizer, which included moving to Southwold, East Sussex, to write together in the spring of 2024. “We were just kind of having fun and exploring,” she said. “Our main concern was whether performing live would be enjoyable. We would compose the second record together, of course,” Teasdale continued.
