Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco are offering fans another romantic release with the deluxe edition of their joint studio album, I Said I Love You First, which was released a little over a month ago.
“My record with @itsbennyblanco has a deluxe edition titled I Said I Love You First.This Friday, May 2, is the release date for And You Said It Back! Gomez posted something on Instagram. Some of the tracks are brand-new, while others are reworked versions of the original album’s hits. I can hardly wait to hear them from you!
The deluxe edition includes eight more tracks, including collaborations, remixes, and previously unheard tracks, in addition to the original 14-track album.
These include new songs like “That is When I will Care,” “Talk,” which Cake interpolates, and “Stained,” which Gomez does alone. In the meantime, DJ Sliink presents a new rendition of “Bluest Flame,” and GloRilla is called upon to remix “Cowboy.”
Gracie Abrams returns for an acoustic version of “Call Me When You Break Up,” and a live Vevo performance of “How Does It Feel to Be Forgotten” also joins the mix. The new set closes out with the dreamy “Guess You Could Say I’m in Love,” a collaboration with Texas shoegaze outfit Cigarettes After Sex.
The pair promoted the new drop by teasing that the video for “Talk” would drop on Thursday night (May 1), encouraging fans to “pick out your prom outfit.”
It came only a week after Blanco revealed that Gomez was unable to attend her prom and shared a video of the couple heading to the mall to get their prom photos on Instagram. In a traditional walk-down-the-stairs dress reveal, the video shows Gomez getting dressed in a purple ballgown and kissing her fiancé. During the extended limo trip to the mall, Blanco exclaims to the driver in the adjacent lane, “We are going to prom!” as he leans out the window.
Blanco and Gomez began dating in the middle of 2023, and in December of last year, they became engaged. Their first collaborative album as a couple, I Said I Love You First, was released in March and peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
