How Did You First Get Into The Music Industry:
Madamm Meek: As a small child, I was raised in a musical family. My uncles are the legends of Gary, Indiana with the first band in 70’s called I.N.D. It started at home and then in school. Leading with solos and acting in plays. I also played sports, basketball was my gift as well.
Growing Up In A Music Rich Area Like Detroit, Who Have Been Some Of Your Major Influences In Your Career:
Madamm Meek: I was huge fan of Aretha Franklin, but the female M.C. hip hop artist SMILEY was my major influence out of Detroit.
Did You Notice A Change In Your Reach And More People Taking Notice To You After Doing The Wu Tang Project You Were On:
Madamm Meek: Yes, and music that I recorded with Young Bleed as well, and with the Faces Of Rap Mothers.
When It Comes To Connections To People In The Music Industry, I Understand You And Young Bleed Had A Serious Relationship Before He Passed. Can You Tell Us A Little About That And How You Guys Got Together:
Madamm Meek: I was booked in 2012 to be Young Bleeds opening act in Detroit, where we became friends from that very moment and we eventually started to date and was recording at the same time. We also toured for three months together in 2014. And I became his business manager and handled his private affairs and business. Then we had his only son together in 2015, Our baby Prince
What Are Some Of The Hardest Struggles You’ve Dealt With As A Musician:
Madamm Meek: My struggles were not having the support I needed and a dedicated team.
Was Getting Into The California Music Hall Of Fame Something You Had Planned On Or Was It A Surprise:
Madamm Meek: The Hall of Fame was definitely a surprise from God. I was referred by The Faces Of Rap Mothers owner and founder. Candy Strothers DeVore and was accepted by the new president of the Hall of Fame, Mrs Cassandra Williams. A dream come true.
What Can You Tell Us About Your New Track “Big Wigg” That You Have Coming Out:
Madamm Meek: The song Big Wigg was created from a conversation I was having with my sister/ friend. And she had to remind me of who I truly am. So she said Madamm you’re a Big Wigg already, so keep doing your thang, because it’s your time. So I wrote a song about it.
