Rising artist Alex Omen just released his highly anticipated EP titled “Dream Sequence, Vol. 2” featuring the hit singles “Can’t You Wake Me Up” and “A Light In The Darkness”.
His 2 new releases are about heart break inspired by the 80’s.
“Can’t You Wake Me Up” is a song about the aftermath of a breakup and the feeling of being trapped inside a dream you can’t wake up from. It follows someone trying to come to terms with losing a relationship that once felt permanent, wrestling with confusion, heartbreak, and the slow process of letting go. Even in the middle of the pain, there’s a quiet determination to keep moving forward instead of giving in to despair.
“A Light In The Darkness” is a reflective song about looking back on someone who brought hope during a difficult time. It wrestles with loneliness, destiny, and unanswered questions while ultimately wishing that person happiness, even after they’ve become part of the past.
