It appears that Mary J. Blige has approved of Travis Scott’s recent sample from Jackson 2, which makes reference to her.
Scott raps, “I blige bumping Mary,” in the two-and-a-half-minute trailer, which was directed by Harmony Korine, that he shared on social media on Wednesday night.
Using happy and laughing emojis, the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul said on X, “I see what he did there.”
Over the past month, Scott has been subtly teasing the Jackboys 2 compilation project, implying that he could release it on Wednesday, his 34th birthday, which never materialized. Although it has not been confirmed whether the track will be included on the upcoming album, the Cactus Jack CEO collaborated with his signee Sheck Wes on “ILMB” last month. During his Coachella headline performance, he also gave a sneak peek at two unreleased tracks (Goldenvoice was fined $20,000 by the City of Indio for exceeding the 1 a.m. curfew by three minutes).
