After months of performing alongside Kendrick Lamar on a successful tour, SZA made a special appearance at the 2025 Kids’ Choice Awards on Saturday (June 21). While there, she shared a sweet moment with rising child actress Cesily Collette Taylor, who played young Nessarose in the hit film Wicked.

In a heartwarming Instagram post, 6-year-old Taylor posted a photo with SZA, captioning it, “Just one of them days … when you bump into one of your favorites.” The caption was a fun nod to the SZA movie One of Them Days, marking SZA’s film debut.

Both stars had plenty to celebrate at the event. SZA won two awards—Favorite Female Artist and Favorite Music Collaboration for her track “Luther” with Kendrick Lamar. What’s Next: Wicked: For Good

The story isn’t over yet. Wicked: For Good, the highly anticipated sequel to the 2024 film, will premiere in theaters this November. Speaking with Billboard, lead actress Cynthia Erivo revealed the next chapter will explore darker and more emotional themes, especially for her character Elphaba. “She’s able to access her rage more,” Erivo said. “She is delicious in this next one.”
