The TIWANAKU founder and Particle Collider Records CEO returned to Europe this summer, joining Astronomica for festival performances in Bulgaria and Greece while continuing to expand his vision for independent heavy metal.
Ed Mowery is proving that some of heavy metal’s strongest partnerships only grow stronger with time.
The TIWANAKU founder and Particle Collider Records CEO recently joined longtime friend Wade Black and Astronomica for two European festival appearances, performing at Japara Festival in Pleven, Bulgaria, and Golden R Fest in Volos, Greece. The performances reunited two respected figures in the metal community whose friendship and musical collaboration spans decades.
The European run also follows Wade Black’s return to TIWANAKU earlier this year, making the collaboration a significant moment for both artists as they continue building momentum on and off the stage. Before the performances, Black described the opportunity as especially meaningful, noting the chemistry the two musicians have shared throughout their careers. Mowery added that the performances reflected the unity and strength of the international metal community.
Known to fans for his work with Nocturnus, Leash Law, and now TIWANAKU, Mowery has spent more than three decades performing, producing, engineering, and writing music. His current focus centers on expanding TIWANAKU while growing Particle Collider Records into a platform that supports independent heavy metal artists around the world.
TIWANAKU has developed a distinctive identity by blending progressive musicianship with themes inspired by ancient civilizations, archaeology, and cinematic storytelling. That creative vision continues to evolve through new music, international performances, and future projects currently in development.
With the European festival appearances now complete, Mowery returns to the United States focused on the next phase of TIWANAKU’s growth, additional live performances, and the continued expansion of Particle Collider Records.
