LEESVILLE, La. — Hip-hop artist, film director, entrepreneur and business owner 38 Goblin is developing an independent series blending crime, thriller and horror, set in Leesville in Vernon Parish, Louisiana.
The project marks a new chapter for Goblin Shot Dat Films, founded in Leesville in 2020. With the series, 38 Goblin is expanding his creative work from music into episodic storytelling, bringing his town into the setting of an independent screen production.
Alongside his filmmaking, 38 Goblin continues to build his career in hip-hop. He describes his music industry connections as including work with members of the Never Broke Again collective, which has roots in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
