Author, entrepreneur, and music industry veteran SKG (Helecia Choyce)officially kicked off BET Awards Weekend in Los Angeles with a successful promotional event for her inspiring book, The Monster Within. The event was presented by Hustle Gurl Ent, SKG’s company dedicated to empowering artists, entrepreneurs, and creatives through networking opportunities.
The event gained significant attention, earning a spot on the coveted BET Weekend Master List, while local radio stations showed support by highlighting and promoting SKG’s book event throughout the city.
One of the highlights of the evening was Shanta Alexander, professionally known as Miss Forbidden Kiss, who served as the event host. Her vibrant personality, professionalism, and ability to engage the audience helped create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests throughout the event.

Among the featured vendors and performers was LaDrena Louden,a master loctician, beauty educator, recording artist, entrepreneur, and founder of EBS Studio (Extended Beauty Studio) she has built a reputation for transforming not only hair but also confidence.
Rome Ardell, CEO of Boss Angeles, also attended the event, showing his support for SKG and helping spread awareness about The Monster Within.
Additional support came from artist, entertainer, and author Yuung Muusik, who attended the event and purchased a copy of The Monster Within.
The event also welcomed celebrity videographer Rob Ruger, who stopped by to support SKG’s book launch.
